And the Bloodwork Results are in

So. Turns out I may not have just fibro.

The tests showed that I have a high sed rate and slightly elevated liver functions.

I knew that when I was in the hospital my liver function whatevers were high. They tested it again later and it was lower. I think that they tested it this past fall and it high again.

What I did *not* know (or at least, I don’t think I knew) was that my sed rate was high in the hospital. I don’t know if they ever checked that again, until now.

The rheumy said at my appointment that if my sed rate was high, then we’d have to look into rheumatoid arthritis or lupus or something similar.

The nurse on the phone said he’d talk about the results with me at my follow-up appointment, which isn’t until near the end of June.

  • Are high sed rates common in EDS? Otherwise, I wonder if it could be SLE or possibly (???) RA or some other rheumatic-type disease.

    UGH. JUNE!!!???? That sucks.

  • No I don’t think they’re common in EDS (at least, I couldn’t find any info on it).

I found out from my mom the other day that my maternal grandfather had RA and since it can be genetic…I don’t think they ever checked my ANA levels though.
