Late Night

Last night I didn’t get to sleep till about 4, which is 2-3 hours later than my usual bedtime. Joe and I were in an AQ40 raid in WoW until 1, then we watched Clue. After that I read a Baby-Sitters Club book in bed. It was Keep Out, Claudia…it’s deep for a Baby-Sitters Club book.

I discovered that fishing in WoW while watching TV and laying on my couch using the laptop is a bearable way to fish. It is very unpleasant to go anywhere near Shattrath though.

Today we’re going to finish the last boss in AQ40 at 5. I’m not sure yet what I want to do with the rest of the night. I’m recording A Very Brady Sequel and Amazing Race is on tonight…maybe I’ll cross-stitch. I want to get this one finished for mom by Christmas but it’s looking very unlikely.

Yay for Friday Nights

I’m so glad it’s finally the weekend. This week seemed pretty long.

Tomorrow we’ll probably go to the art store. I think I want some art supplies for my birthday. Some new watercolor pencils, some more watercolor paper blocks, and maybe a water brush (it’s a paint brush with a water resevoir in the handle). I may end up buying it online, depending on how the prices vary at the store versus online.

We don’t really have anything else planned for the weekend. Our weekends are usually pretty free. I think we need to do a bit of cleaning this weekend though. We’re horrible on keeping our place clean.

Red Robin and More

Tonight Joe and I used my free burger and sundae birthday coupon at Red Robin (did you get there tonight too Krissy?). I had my usual gourmet cheeseburger, pink, no tomatoes but instead of my usual american cheese I had to get monteray jack since they were out of american. It was full of yum.

Then we went to A.C. Moores where I bought a new palette for my painting and a calligraphy practice pad (it has lines on it). I had wanted a new 4×6 watercolor paper block but they don’t seem to carry them there.

After that we stopped at Comix Connection and bought some WoW TCG cards. No loot cards, unfortunately.

Now we’re home and I’ll be spending the rest of the evening playing WoW, watching Survivor, and reading yet another Baby-Sitters Club book.

I still haven’t decided where I want to eat on my actual birthday next Wednesday.

WoW

Last night I finally got to level 70 on Calandria, my main in World of Warcraft. I started playing last January, played for two months, and then started playing again at the end of July. Calandria is a gnome warlock who is also a tailor and enchanter. Right now she has a long green ponytail but she started out with two pink puffy ponytails.

I’m enjoying playing right now because we’re in a pretty active guild that is also doing something. I’ve been on several raids and in a lot of instances. I also like the holiday activities and collecting pets.

I haven’t abandoned EQII completely. I still love that game but the fact that I never have anyone to group with is the main thing keeping me from playing.

I Voted

Joe and I voted today a little after 4 pm. There was a lot of people there but the line moved very fast. We were out in about 10 minutes, even though there were about 30 people ahead of us.

This was the third time I’ve voted and I’ve voted for the Democratic candidate each time (including this one). There was also an item to vote on about taking out a grant or loans or something to repair water pipes or something.

I had to vote at a different place than the place I voted at the other times since we live in a different area. I’ve been hearing people mentioning stickers. Neither Joe or I got a sticker today…how disappointing!

Plums

A few weeks ago I reread the Anne of Green Gables books. They were full of plums…plum puddings, plum preserves, plum cakes. I realized I have never eaten a plum or anything plum flavored. I want to try one, but the grocery store only has dried plums (aka prunes). I’m sure plums must still exist…so why can’t I find one? Are they only available during a certain time of the year?

Have you ever eat a plum? Did you like it?
