Birthday and NaNoWriMo

Yesterday I turned 31. Crazy.

I took off Thursday and had Friday off for my birthday, so four-day weekend. It’s been great. Yesterday we went to Arooga’s with my parents. I got their Beer Steamed Alaskan Crab Legs, which are fabulous. I had received a coupon for a free dessert or beer for my birthday and got the Funnel Cake Sundae. Yummy.

I got the latest Professor Layton DS game and bought a book on HTML5 and one on CSS3. My netbook had been my birthday/Christmas gift.

The netbook has been great to use to write my novel on. It helps so much to be able to lay down to write it. I’m about 5000 words behind where I should be. I took a couple days off from it this week. The novel is progressing along the plot I had planned for it for the most part. It’s hard to make myself start writing most days, but I mostly enjoy it once I start.

I hadn’t played WoW really for months, but a week ago I suddenly decided I wanted to play it again. Soo…I’ve been wanting to play that instead of write my novel. It just figures, that the time I would want to play would be November. I’m looking forward to the new Worgen race in Cataclysm. I like the new changes to the Hunter class, but I’m still iffy on the Warlock changes. I’ve been getting Calandria (the warlock and my only level 80) geared out pretty good.

Now I need to get started on writing for the day.
