I received a letter today saying that Lyrica was denied again.
Only, this time, the reason it was denied was because I had not fulfilled the criteria for medically necessary for diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Well, gee, could that be because that wasn’t the reason I was requesting Lyrica? There was no mention of Fibromyalgia anywhere in the denial letter*. I’m sure that will come back to bite them in the ass if it becomes necessary to file a civil action suit against them.
So the next level of appeal involves a hearing, which I can attend. I have no idea if I actually get to speak at the hearing or not. If I do, I’ll have to restrain myself from saying exactly what I think of them.
* In the first denial letter they at least got the reason I was requesting Lyrica right.
