My hair

Have I mentioned my hair lately? I don’t think I have yet.

As you know, my hair is long. It’s several inches above my waist. Up until a few months ago, it was very thick. I had always planned that whenever I got it cut shorter, I’d donate my hair.

I’m now thinking of cutting my hair off around my chin. Not because I really want to but because it looks horrid. It’s so dry and brittle, no matter what conditioner I use. The worst part is that I’m losing so much hair. My hair is half as thick as it was a few months ago. Actually, probably not even half. I’m not sure I even have *enough* hair to donate, it’s that thin. You can’t really tell by looking at me. But it’s extremely noticable to me when I pull my hair back.

I really don’t look or feel like me anymore. It makes me very sad.

  • I really hope something gets figured out soon about your health. I wish there was something I can do from here.

  • this stuff about your health is pissing me off. why can’t the doctors get the results to you? why can’t they run these tests? argh…

if there is anything I can do, anything at all, please let me know. I love you.

  • Aww =(

But oh hey! Was looking up sites again, and http://www.drugs.com/enc/hair_loss.html said hair loss can be caused from:
“A serious illness (like a tumor of the ovary or ***adrenal glands***) or fever”

    And http://adam.about.com/encyclopedia/000407sym.htm (Cushing’s site) said:
“Patients with adrenal carcinoma may also have symptoms of excess androgen, including ……. and scalp hair loss.”

So maybe that means it is more likey that if it is a tumor it is not in your brain?

Just random thoughts – that is frustrating though =( – really do hope they get you in sooner.

That’s good news…except for the whole carcinoma part there :)But yes…really really hoping not to have brain surgery.
