The nurse called back when I expected. She said the doctor said it showed some tachycardia, but it wasn’t anything to be concerned about (I’m assuming sinus tachycardia since the other kinds are bad and are cause for concern). Also that they could put me on medication to lower my pulse if I wanted, if I was having bothersome palpitations or anything. I said no for now. I read some things about them and since I’m not experiencing any palpitations, only tiredness, the side effects probably wouldn’t be worth it (they include extreme tiredness). So, I got more information but it still doesn’t answer all my questions.
Basically what this means is that I do have IST (http://heartdisease.about.com/cs/arrhythmias/a/IST.htm), even if they haven’t called it that. Since it’s a sinus tachycardia and there’s no cause, it defaults to being Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia.
