I’m still alive. Haven’t felt much like posting this week. My blood pressure and pulse are still high and I still get tired out pretty easily. I just worked half days this week, but plan on working full days next week. I so need the money.
I finished my second to last class last week. Here is the final presentation of my project, in PDF form. The website layout is not nearly as good as I wanted it to be, and some of the illustrations are lacking, but that was due to circumstances beyond my control. Even with being sick and in the hospital, I still managed to maintain my 4.0. I will be so dissapointed if for some reason I don’t get an A in my last class, Portfolio Development.
Speaking of Portfolio Development, which starts Sunday. I could log in last night to the class. I was happy to see the group project is in the third week and not the last week. I’ll be out of town the last week and I’ll be able to just turn in the last assignment early. If it had been a group project, that wouldn’t have been possible. In this class, we’ll be making an online or print portfolio, as well as creating letterhead and a business card plus a resume. I don’t really see the point of the letterhead and business card, unless we’re planning on starting our own business, but oh well. For the first week, part of the assignment is to chose the pieces we want to put in our portfolio. I don’t really think a lot of my work is portfolio-worthy, especially most of my web designs (that were created for class anyway). I can always replace them with better work later at least.
I bought Survivor, Season 2 last night. I had run out of DVDS to watch. I’ve watched all of Buffy many times and Felicity several times. I bought Full House, season 1 this past weekend (want more Full House!) and it went by all too fast. Sometime soon I’d like to get the first three seasons of Gilmore Girls ($125 or so on amazon). Anyway, Season 2 Survivor was my favorite and the first one I watched the whole way through (just saw the last few of the first season). Things were still new back then, in Survivor world. I like Survivor, but it’s getting kind of old. Especially since every one lately is on some tropical island that looks pretty much the same as the one the season before.
