Wow, my life is just so exciting. I just spent a half hour debating with myself (on a Saturday night) if I wanted to change my screen resolution. Earlier today, I finished my homework for the week and went to my parent’s for dinner (Joe works till 11 pm). Plus I read the first chapter of my Painter 8 WOW book that Joe had bought me last April. I had read that first chapter when he gave me it, but nothing since.
Speaking of that, remember how I complained awhile ago about not being into reading any non-fiction books? Well, recently in the past two months I’ve been able to start reading non-fiction books…but not finish them. I’m halfway through Illustrating Children’s Books and I read the first chapter of Watercolor Fairies (and now the first chapter of the Painter 8 WOW book). I want to read the rest, they’re good books…I just don’t actually do it. I am happy to say though that I’ve been keep up with reading my textbook for class (and even reading the chapters inbetween the ones we were assigned. I’m 300 pages into it now. It’s a really good book. Good as in informative and easy to understand and not completely boring.
In case you’re wondering, I did decide to change my resolution. After using the laptop (1280 x 800), 1024 x 768 on my 19″ monitor was just too small. But 1280 x whatever was just too big. I had a hard time reading it when I leaned back in my chair (which is how I read LJ and weblogs). But 1152 x 864 was good. And so that’s what I’m using.
