Today in Zoology I dissected Sam the Squid. I alternately found it gross and enjoyable. He was a “fresh frozen squid”. I had to hold him under warm water to thaw him out a bit. I didn’t mind the initial cutting but probing around looking for organs in mushy stuff made me feel a little sick.

  • *shivers* it’s funny how the sheep brains didn’t bother me, but looking at the squid does! yeek. you’re much braver than I am :)

tomorrow might be the beginning of our frog labs. I don’t know if I’m going to like this much…

  • We disected squid in Freshman Biology in High School. I distinctly remember one kid finding the ink sac and writing with it, by sticking a toothpick in the ink. It was interesting.

Starfish are quite gross to disect. They’re like all much inside. Ew.
