BIOL211: Concepts of Zoology
Study of invertebrate and vertebrate animals. Classification, reproduction, development, ecology, physiology, behavior, genetics, scientific methodology (including simple statistical approaches), and evolution. Laboratory studies include microsopy, dissections, live observations, computer exercises and experimentation.
BIOL325: Plant Systematics
A survey of local vascular fauna, use of dichotomous keys in identifying plants, distinguishing features of common plant families, principles of plant systematics. Phylogenetic, biosystematic, nomenclatural concepts are considered.
ENGL337: Women Writers of the Middle Ages
Students investigate the work of women who lived and wrote in the medieval period, primarily (though not entirely) in Europe.

ANTH220 — Introduction to Archaeology
Examines the development of archaeology as a science. Major topics include various methods of archaeological investigation, chronological placement, excavation procedures, and a review of extinct cultures in the Old and New Worlds.
